About

A native of northwest Iowa, Eric attended Augustana University and earned his law degree, with honors, from the University of South Dakota in 2006.  Eric was a judicial clerk for the First Judicial Circuit and was in private practice for more than thirteen years with Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun, P.C. before forming Equity Law Firm.

Eric was named a Rising Star by Great Plains Super Lawyers® and has been recognized as a trusted Business Whyse Advisor.  He is currently a member of the South Dakota and Iowa Bar Associations, as well as a Fellow with the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, where he serves as the State Chair of South Dakota.  Eric is admitted to practice law in South Dakota and Iowa, and Equity Law Firm is an associate member of the South Dakota Multihousing Association.

Eric and his wife, Brooke, have four children, and he enjoys golfing and attending his children’s many school and sporting events.
